About Jill |
|
|
| Over a cumulative total of 25 years serving on various Boards in Douglas County, Jill has listened to thousands of citizens in hundreds of public hearings and community meetings across the entire county, so she understands what Douglas County citizens and communities value. Jill has great respect for those who want to protect their rural lifestyle and heritage, but she also understands and appreciates those who want to live closer to the Denver metro area and take advantage of amenities in the county's urban communities. |
| |
| As a fifth generation Colorado native, Jill comes from a long line of proud Colorado citizens. Jill has lived in Highlands Ranch since 1994 with her family, They are involved in many sport, education, church and community activities. Jill and her family are members of St. Mark Catholic Church, and their children attend Douglas County public schools. |
| |
| Jill 's core principles are embedded in conservative Republican values and principles, common sense and sound reasoning. Jill believes that the role of Government is to protect fundamental individual rights and Government must be limited, efficient, fiscally responsible, transparent, and accountable. Policies must focus on accomplishing the vision and values of our citizens. Regulations should be minimal and must be written in a manner that promotes innovative thinking and creative problem solving. Often government expands beyond its responsibilities and interferes with people's fundamental rights, which is a result of excessive and ineffective policies and regulations that are overly cumbersome. She believes government should serve the people, not hinder their lives or their thinking. |
